Day 6 Sutra 1:12 The mental modifications are restrained by practice and non-attachment.
Stopping your mind chatter requires effort. There isn't a quick fix, so you must continuously practise for a long time and with the right attitude in order to steady the mind. You must also detach from whatever causes your incessant thinking. The right attitude means practising with full attention and faith in the outcome that you desire.
I'm reminded here of Sri Pattabhi Jois's words "“Practise, practise, and all is coming!” He is saying that in order to have a deeper experience of yoga practise is essential.
A practice to quiet your mind is to focus your attention on your breathing.
Practise and all is coming...
